Hometown Heroes

The Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA is starting a program to honor our military heroes by placing light pole banners along Main and Maumee Streets. Military members, their families, or friends can order a double-sided banner for a military person at a cost of $100.00. The banner will be displayed for one year.

Guidelines

  • The Hero must be honorably discharged or fallen in the line of duty or be considered active duty with any branch of the United States Military.

  • The Hero must be a City of Adrian resident

  • Each banner will list the honoree's name and branch of service.

  • The Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA will have the sole responsibility of hanging and removal of the banner. Once produced and installed, the banners shall remain the property of the City of Adrian until removed and presented to the applicant.

  • If the banner starts to show any signs of deterioration before the planned removal date, the banner will be removed and returned to the requester.

  • Those heroes who have been honorably discharged will be designated with white stars, those who have fallen in the line of duty with gold stars and active-duty members will be designated with  blue stars.

  • Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.
