Downtown Development and TIF Plan update
Downtown Adrian is a dynamic destination with a unique blend of traditional character and modern flare, providing an anchor for engaged business owners and residents, and vibrant arts and cultural services that are offered year-round.
The City of Adrian recognizes the importance of updating the current Plan so that its business owners, residents, visitors, and stakeholders can enjoy and preserve the quality of life in the community that they love. Downtown Adrian boasts an impressive mixed-use district with a traditional streetscape that is attractive and inviting. Residents and visitors can enjoy an entire day dining, shopping, recreating, and participating in numerous activities, festivals, and events in the downtown. Adrian’s Downtown Development Authority is committed to fostering a dynamic downtown environment that promotes economic growth and social interaction.
The Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA has partnered with McKenna to develop the following work plan for Adrian to achieve a well-articulated, informative, and progressive Development and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Strategic Plan, one that builds upon the community’s existing assets and positions the City for sustainable future downtown success. The finished product will be a high-quality, comprehensive Development and TIF Strategic Plan founded on community input, supported by stakeholders, graphically attractive, and rooted in realistic implementation with a focus on tomorrow. The following tasks detail a description of the services and processes that we envision for Adrian’s Plan amendment:

Task 4: A Thorough, Inclusive Public Participation Process
