First Fridays in Downtown Adrian are a series of family-oriented events organized by the Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA, aimed at revitalizing the historic downtown area. The 2024 lineup features diverse activities, including a dog-focused event, a classic car show, a celebration of Americana, a movie night, an art-themed car show, and a new Fall Fest. The emphasis is on creating a welcoming atmosphere with family-friendly entertainment, diverse food options, and live music. On average these events bring over 45,000 people to Downtown Adrian annually. 

 

What your contribution supports:

HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREAT EVENT

 

The Downtown Adrian Trick-or-Treat Event is a family-oriented event organized by the Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA and the City of Adrian. The streets are closed off to traffic, creating a safe and inviting environment for families to roam freely. With every corner adorned in spooky decorations. Over 50,000 pieces of candy are generously handed throughout downtown, ensuring smiles and laughter echo through the night. The event draws crowds from far and wide, with families and friends gathering to revel in the Halloween spirit together. From the youngest trick-or-treaters to the young at heart, everyone finds delight in this cherished tradition, making it a highlight of the autumn season in Downtown Adrian. On average these events bring over 5,000 people to Downtown Adrian annually.

STUDENT WELCOME BACK BASH SPONSORSHIP 

 

Downtown Adrian is excited to announce its partnership with both Siena Heights University and Adrian College to welcome their students to town for the school year and immerse them in the vibrant cultural scene of downtown Adrian. This collaborative event fosters a sense of community by including our local students as an integral part of the downtown experience. With food provided and local businesses offering deals and specials exclusively for students, the event not only serves as a warm welcome to newcomers but also as an opportunity for students to explore and engage with the diverse offerings of our downtown area. Through this initiative, Downtown Adrian aims to create meaningful connections between students and the local community, encouraging a sense of belonging and participation in the rich cultural fabric that defines our town. Approximately 1,200 students attend this event annually.
